Recurring Events:
Does your Special Needs child have a sibling between the ages of 7 to 17? If so, then they might benefit from time with other kids who understand. The event includes social time (games and snacks) and a discussion overseen by Jodi Smith a caring Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist Supervisor. This event occurs once a month.
If your child loves music this is a great opportunity for him or her to learn more about music (sounds, rhythm, and singing). It is an interactive class taught by Dennis Thompson, a retired music teacher, who specializes in working with special needs kids. This class occurs once a month.
What started as a once a month “Mom” get-together turned in to a “Night Out” for all parents! We love providing a meeting time for both moms and dads. We usually go to a restaurant enjoy great food, meet new members, catch up with others and just have a great time. It is a night we all look forward to!
MOMS MORNING COFFEE TALK
Moms – after seeing your kid off to school in the morning, join us for our monthly morning coffee talks at a local shop or restaurant!
Once a month the kids have a blast spending time with the My Gym staff on an evening devoted to them. The kids play in a fun and friendly environment with slides, swings, ball pit and other fun activities.
Past Events:
This was a greatevent for the whole family. Rancho Cucamonga Fire District – Day Creek Station No. 173 provided information of how they help our community daily, safety tips, interactive demonstrations and other information geared towards our special needs kids. It was a lot of fun and they were fantastic hosts.
What a fun event for Mom’s! Our first event at Purple Easel and it was a hit. We had such a great time visiting before the painting began over some yummy snacks, drinks, and wine. We all enjoyed learning the basics of painting and then showing off our masterpieces at the end of the class.
What a beautiful day to spend outdoors learning about horses. The entire family was able to pet and brush the horses. The kids then had the opportunity to ride the horses and they all had a blast. The staff was wonderful and everyone was so helpful.
